For 45 years, the Buffalo-Dortmund sister city exchange has been bringing young people from both sides of the Atlantic closer together. Recently, 18 students from Dortmund arrived in Buffalo to immerse themselves in a three-month academic and cultural experience.
This exchange program offers students a unique opportunity to explore new cultures, build lifelong friendships, and gain valuable experiences. It includes two programs: a three-week summer exchange for Buffalo teens to visit Dortmund (with exciting excursions to Berlin and Amsterdam!) and a three-month stay for German students in Buffalo.
Now, we need your help: Host families are needed! Open your doors and provide a temporary home for a young visitor from Dortmund while they experience life in the U.S. It’s a wonderful chance to broaden your own horizons and share your everyday life with an international guest.
