For over 75 years, Buffalo, NY, and Dortmund, Germany, have shared a special bond through a student exchange program. Each year, German students spend 3.5 months in Buffalo’s private schools, immersing themselves in American culture.
Students arrive on August 23, 2025, and stay until December 7, 2025. Anyone can host! Families with children, grown-up kids, or no children at all are welcome. The only requirement? A separate bed—room sharing is fine!
Students participate in school life and explore Western NY, enjoying activities like: Rafting in Letchworth State Park, High ropes climbing in Ellicottville and Visiting Niagara Falls & local Pow-Wows
